Get some poetry, April

National Poetry Month 2011It’s supposed to snow tonight, even though we natural-born fools thought it was spring. The daffodils and hyacinths are valiant.

Go on. Look ahead. You can see the setbacks coming. There’s not a more appropriate time to celebrate poetry.

The mail carrier delivered a groovy new catalogue from Enitharmon Press. Sign up for the publisher’s monthly email newsletter to receive the poem of the month., the website of the Academy of American Poets, has an awesome National Poetry Map that organizes literary journals and small presses, writing programs and associations, and even well known poets by state. I’m going over there to play now.
