On Valentine’s Day

Global Voices
There’s a lot of link love in my blogroll, including a widget near the bottom of the page that links to photography featured by Global Voices, which gathers translations and blogposts from bloggers around the world.

Last year, I missed Global Voices’ Valentine’s Day call to “Teach Someone You Love to Blog (or Microblog),” but I’m pleased to share the meme this year. I can proudly take credit for helping to launch Dan Mizell‘s and David W. Sanders’ blogs, for reigniting T.T. Thomas‘s blog-o-rama, and for nudging two or three more writers toward the blogosphere during the past three years.

If you’re ready to start blogging, take a look at Global Voices’ guides to blogging and microblogging, and check some of the resources on my “Starting your own blog” page.

Don’t be shy. We’d enjoy your company. Please give us a link to your new blog in the comments section of this post. Happy Valentine’s Day, and welcome to the blogosphere!
