Selective superstition

Tomorrow, the Short North Gallery Hop coincides with the Mahan Gallery’s opening of Selective Superstition. New works by Jeff Kallet and three other artists will be on display. Jacquie Mahan explains, “This exhibition is a documentation of the sort of things we do when we believe no one is watching, and what we choose for our own superstitious totem.”

Kallet is one of the few people I’ve met who act as though they don’t mind if others are watching. Of course, his secrets might be deftly encrypted in his collages. Take a look and tell me what you think.
